Michelle Hooks - Spinal Cord Injury Survivor

A car accident took Michelle from a bill of perfect health to blindness and paralysis. Her condition had normalized in the US around constant care. No options existed for her to improve her condition. In the past year Michelle has received two rounds of adult stem cell treatment in China and speaks with us here about the quantifiable physical improvements she's seen in her condition during that time and her personal response to the treatments' results. This interview was recorded in Shijiazhuang at Bethune Peace Hospital.

About this data

Patients self-assess each symptom on a 5-point scale (Worse / No improvement / Small / Moderate / Significant) at follow-up checkpoints after treatment, comparing to their pre-treatment baseline. "Reported improvement" combines the small, moderate and significant buckets. Data is updated daily from our internal patient registry. As with any medical treatment, past results do not guarantee future outcomes — improvements vary from patient to patient.
